Sure didn't have much flat water on that river.
About 3/4 of the run needed constant attention as a rock or a hole could materialize right in front of your distracted self and bite you in the butt. I did miss the 2 swims being in the far back and closing up most of the time. It was interesting to see such a long string of paddlers spread along the rapids further than where my eyesight could take me.

The first major drop and the section below the broken dam offered a bit more technical challenges to spice up the run.
Ray playing Humpty Dumpty on the first drop to complete that little section with a solid boof.
Jim styling the edge of the tongue. Couple of nice big waves on the way.
The lop-sided wrestling match on the island.

I regret missing the L6 Cup and cheering for Adam. But I do not regret my choice.
(Just regret not putting sun block on my neck... and leaving my camera in the dry cloth bag again, darn!)
Good day on the river. Nothing wong with that.

From your friendly homeless dude.

Wow! They say that there's about 100 m of flat water in the run, but the level was a little high, and it was more like 50 m of flat water, at a place where you HAVE to get out to portage anyway. The rest? 17 km of continuous Class II-III+, find an eddy if you can! I have some very nice video footage of the run.

Including a special video: unfortunately one of us had a swim below the section with the pillars from an old bridge. In my video, there is more than 4 minutes elapsed between hearing Larry's whistle call and me finally catching up with the swimmer as, nearly 1 km later, he reached the shore... of an island: the poor guy had to swim some more. In such a continuous Class III, a swim will carry you waaay downstream! The boat was even further downstream, caught by Jim luckily. Swimmer and boat were reunited, and the spot declared suitable for a lunch stop.

I must say, this was quite a run. Entirely feasible in playboats, but clearly less stressful and more fun in a bigger vessel! One day, when I have time I'll put a video on Youtube!
