If you ever get a hankering to return to your open boating roots...check out Ottawa's Canoe Camping Club - www.yccc.ca....we have over 300 club members, about half who paddle WW...and trips going out every wknd!  :)

Just in case you prefer not to get an overdose of CdBers on Saturday, I have not really met any early risers so far - maybe apart from cool farmers aiming to run the Rouge 5 times on a Friday...

hi

As you can see through the threads there is not much info for any Sunday trip. Not that there will be no Sunday paddling, but people are probably "playing it by ear" depending on how many refreshments are consumed on Saturday evening.

Your best bet is to drop by Saturday evening ...

Welcome!
Why don't you come and join us for the Mini-Beast-Feast this weekend (see post)?
Hope to meet you there,

Hi there,

I'm new to the Ottawa area and am looking for some people to go paddling with.  I have lots of whitewater experience and am very comfortable on the river.  I am, however, still in transition from an open boater to a kayaker and i don't have a stellar roll just yet (but i'm working on it!).  I'm comfortable in most class II-III water and will run the occasional big drop/class IV, I'm a happy swimmer, and willing to portage anything that feels too big on any given day.

I am free most sundays and mondays and would like to find a solid crew of easy-going, adventure loving, safe and friendly boaters to paddle with.  If you are heading out to the Ottawa or any other fun river spot and have room for the new kid,  drop me a line.

Looking forward to meeting some of the Ottawa area boaters i've heard so many great things about!

Peace
Jody
