The 7 Sisters Section is a good run at the present level.

Levels ratings are guidelines only. All really difficult sections have portage routes and are scoutable.
They take rafters down this section of river ... so it can't be that difficult.

Elizabeth's sill ... is a drop pool type rapid with a large pool at the bottom to collect wayward boats, gear and what not. Other sections are a bit more continuous where an out of boat experience is not recommended.

The water falls are impressive to see at this level ... and are definately portaged at this level unless you are really crazy.

Peter...its not class IV. The seuil section is not much harder than the levels we ran it last time... It actually gets easier...just a little bigger wavetrains... The way I saw you paddle..youd have no issues whatsoever. :)

Paddling Oct 12 or 13

Is anyone interested in paddling this Thanksgiving weekend, preferably Saturday (tomorrow), or Sunday... and able to give me a ride?  (I'd also consider Monday, but the weather isn't looking quite as amazing.)

I'd be interested in the Ottawa Middle or Main (with which I'm very familiar) or the Rouge Canyon or White Dog sections (which I've never run before, but are listed as Class III+ and III respectively on their Qu?bec Whitewater entries).

(I'm shying away from the Rouge 7-Sisters posting, as the water level for Seuil Elizabeth and the Section des chutes is at 54.6 m^3/s, putting the Seuil Elizabeth into Class IV territory.)

Hope to hear from you!
