Drysuits can be expensive. Not so much if we manage to place a group order of 10 drysuits at once.
I have been calling around and it looks like we could get at least 15% off if we are 10 or more placing an order together. The savings could be even better once I turn on the charm ...
The details are not final at this point as we need the exact number of people and the expected item (model, size and colour).
So, if you think you may be in the market to buy a new drysuit in the next 6 months, you may want to consider joining in.
At this point, I am looking exclusively at Kokatat
GMER (for man) and
WGMED (for woman). The going price at a local retailor is around the 900$ mark (+ tax). With the group deal, we could expect to pay around 770$ (+ tax) or better depending on the result of my negociation. Note that Woman suits a slightly more expensive due to the "Drop Seat" mechanics.
So, At this point, I do not need any commitment from anyone, just a show of interest so I can see if we are close to 10 (or better). I will need from the interested parties, the model (GMER / WGMED), the size and the colour.
Once I have an idea of the numbers and the details, I will be in a better position to "discuss" with the distributors. Once we settle on a deal, then I will be requesting a financial commitment from whoever is still interested.
Note that any dealings we do now will only produce suits for next season (March, April 2014).
So, if you are interested, send me a note with your details directly to my e-mail (Dufresne.Jaclin@Sympatico.ca) and I will let you know how the negociation is going as it progresses.
Jaclin.
