Won't be there after all, family obligations.

Gatineau cancelled.

Sorry for the confusion.

We are doing the middle channel of the Ottawa River.

Meet at the WT takeout (Farmer Black) at 10:30am

Can't confirm yet, Adam is still working overtime, but we might be interested in the Ottawa. Can you confirm a meeting point?

We we're planning to meet at the WT takeout at 10:30

Unfortunately, due a lack of numbers, we'll be going to the Ottawa on Saturday instead.

Coming

if we have time, I like to go see the old generator plant at Corbeau island  before they start to remove it in a month

If you go there, go before hitting Corbeau. Approach the drop from RIVER LEFT, i.e. land on the island to walk the first drop. On river right is a shallow rapid followed by a nasty Class IV drop. Then walk back up since if you follow the water in that channel, you will emerge below Danse des Draveurs, missing some good whitewater...

Meet at Bonnet Rouge takeout at 10:30 am.
Located near Maniwaki the Bonnet Rouge is slightly farther than paddling the Ottawa, give yourself an hour and a half minimum to get to the takeout.

For directions please visit this site:

http://www.bonnetrougerafting.com/en/contact

This the river we will be paddling at Beast Feast in case you want to explore it and also check out the camping site before the CdB's main event.

Expect a small $5-6 Put-in takeout fee.

The Level is at 5 which is friendly.
All the rapids can be easily portaged. Ther is good surfing at Bonnnet Rouge:)

Please use this thread to arrange carpooling.

Paul:)
