It was a fun and relaxed afternoon, Class II+ max. A good way to get your gear in order! Jim's drysuit is a bit undersize... It took two people to manage to get his head through the gasket... Felt like being a midwife! Luckily nobody drank the water, it's gray, can't see you paddle blade in there... Let's hope more rivers are running this weekend!

Hi folks,

For those interested, a group of us are going to run the Carp on Sunday afternoon.
It`s very similar in character to the Mississippi, starts off easy and gets more interesting as you go down;
class 1 working up to class 3- near the end.

Plans are to meet at the put-in at the corner of John Shaw Rd. and Rabbit Path : [GPS 45.417772, -76.198597] at 2:00pm

The takeout is on the Galetta Side Rd. where it crosses over the river: [GPS 45.461043, -76.196204]

If possible, please be changed into your gear as soon as possible since no one wants to stand in the wind any longer than necessary.

The usual caveats about spring paddling and cold water gear apply...

Please feel free to use this thread to arrange rides etc.
