So yesterday Larry and I were there for about an hour.  Only about 2 people in line at a time.  When I got there there were a few SUPers and river boarders surfing.

High levels mean the wave is further out from the wall, acres of room in the eddy now, and the wave is much shallower.  Surfed well in the 4-fun, where the hell was everyone else? 

I hope to see a few of you out Sunday afternoon, with stories from the Achigan!

So I dropped by CB at lunch today just to see how things look at 59.90m. While there one of the surfers came ashore sans board as his leash had broke. That board traveled downstream very fast. I ended up driving downstream and watched the board go into a boom that has been positioned a little above the POW Bridge (the old railroad one).

Anyhow, kayakers etc. should keep these speeds in mind if they are heading to Champlain as there is not nearly as much time do any rescues there as there normally is. Or at least be sure to write your name and number on your boat/paddle/pfd before heading out.
