speaking of nicknames...you are now known as park 'n play Paul  :D
Have a good one...you should really get on a river sometime paul...something new and adventurus....but if you can figure away to skip the hike in, i'd strongly reccomend that, lol

Jo and I are out.  Gonna do the Rouge because we can get back in time for Ian to celebrate turning 40.  What an old man!!!

(Alex, Jo, and I are doing the Rouge if anyone wants to tag along for a quick run)

Grahame,

Where do you live?  Maybe I can drop by and pick you up.  To be there for 8am for breakfast with the gang we should probably leave Ottawa at 6:30am.  Or we can skip breakfast and aim to be there at 8:45 which is when the gang leaves the truck stop.

I live in Mooneys Bay - near Walkley & Riverside.

Cheers,

Ben

Looks like I'm pulling out of this trip.
Plz file any (unnecesary, but usually laughable) comments below.
Next time, honest.
Have fun guys, and maybe a trip on the Upper Pet. will be completed without a broken boat, eh Rob?

Hi folks,

Rumours are confirmed, the Upper Petawawa is a go for this Saturday.

Meeting place is the Irving Truck Stop at the corner of Hwy 17 & 41 just south of Pembroke at 8:45 AM.

http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=45.796494&lon=-77.116814&zoom=14

Those wanting to grab breakfast there should figure to arrive by 8:00 AM.
Give yourself 1.5+ hours to get there at legal highway speeds.

The river is class 3 - 4 with a few larger drops to spice things up.
It won't be as high as a few weeks ago so there should be less carnage...

Bring walking shoes, lots of water, bug juice and some method of carrying or dragging
your creeker or river running boat the 4 km to the put-in. Saturday is forecast to be 29 degrees so be prepared for a warm walk.

Planning to go so far are: Rob Monti, Ben Turcotte, Larry Wong, Jeremy Poulin, Grahame H. and myself.
Rides can be arranged for those who need one.

Call me at home after 6:00 PM at (613) 224-8507 to confirm or get more info.

Bill
