There was only one vane open when we crossed the dam.
I wonder if this is the major factor.
Felt like someone had pulled the plug from the bathtub.
Phil was definitively wider and looking ugly at the river right; we opted for Sattler (can't spell it though) for an easier way through. Pop, pop, pop.
When we got to "Onion Ring", it looked doable. Posting a rope man (sorry woman), most of us decided to give it a try.
Very happy with my line.
While I was waiting for others to go through, some major whirlpools were forming next to me. Gaps 8 feet wide were forming and closing.
Man, that must suck a kayak wide and high.
It was stunning to see the difference at Angel Kiss. Water was running only through Angel Kiss and nothing through the right side chute anymore; at least 3ft difference from last week and a mere shorty wave left over.
Big change at Lower No Name as well, it looked quite serious, so we had a long scout. I tripled check my line. It looked the most serious part of our run.

drum roll...
Anticlimax; drum roll dying in the back ground.
Waves were actually 3 times smaller than last week. Happy again with my line, managing around the holes; felt easy.
Boy, Lower Name was so much fun those last couple of weeks.
We skipped Little Trickle, so no chance for my swimming I guess.
Might have required climbing equipment though.
The dropping water levels were stunning. Happy with "Onion Ring".
Oh, and Butterfly was like a razor; slid along the edge and got a nice stunning cut.
