Hey Chris

Was your friend referring specifically to the bottom section or does this apply to the lower as well? I was thinking of maybe renting something as I do want to start trying different creek boats before buying one this spring. Are you thinking of joining the fun? Leave your Booster at home and bring the blunt.

I'd like to go too. I'm quite I would just watch the bottom section from shore, however...

Cl?o, I know someone who did the whole run two years ago in a Riot Booster 55 like mine, and vowed never to do it again in such a small boat. Last year he rented a Wavesport Habitat 80, and he ended up buying it... The guy is a very experienced paddler, BTW. He said it made a huge difference to have a big boat on that river, so you may consider renting one. If you go that way, make sure to reserve one early as many people in this city go to Moosefest.

I'm pretty sure I will be going , it is a 3 hour drive from the kanata park and ride , I have run the moose about 15 times, lots of fun.

I found this link http://www.nyriverfestivals.com/moose.shtml regarding the Moosefest.
Dates at Oct 17-19.

I've got a family reunion in Montreal on the 19 that I cannot miss. Mid day event.
GoogleMap says 4hrs driving time from my home. http://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=Old+Forge,+New+York,+USA&geocode=&dirflg=&daddr=5531+Edgewater+Dr,+Osgoode,+ON,+Canada&f=d&sll=43.711564,-74.970703&sspn=3.351154,6.009521&ie=UTF8&z=9

So I might be able to consider Friday and Saturday.

Hi

Is anyone interested in going to moose fest? There is something on the moose for every skill level from beginner to advanced boaters. River festivals are a great opportunity to discover new rivers. I may be driving down with my girlfriend but she's not sure yet. If not I would be very happy to hitch a ride and split the price of gas with someone.

Here are the river descriptions:

Middle Branch Singing Waters Campground to McKeever II-IV

Middle McKeever to Rock Island III

Lower Rock Island to Fowlersville IV

Bottom Fowlersville to Lyons Falls V
