That's one of the hazards I think in exiting a tight/new/unfamiliar slalom boat in cold surging waters with extra gear on along the pumphouse banks.  Not to make excuses, but there aren't too many places where you can exit in quiet water or swing your feet out onto solid ground.  Not as big a deal for those skinny light junior paddlers methinks ;)

ps, thanks Mark  :P

Seems like Paul is doing damage control.
But I haven't said (or written) a word.
(just giggling in my corner)

Oh, now that's just a tease.  I know Louis is sworn to secrecy, so I doubt I'll get much out of him.

Did it involve boat separation, a trip down the Tunnel, frozen private parts, or any of the above?  ;D

does that count as a swim?

Technically, No. I prefer to think of it as exiting on the wet side of the dock. Next time I'll aim for the shallow end.  And to think I just bought brand new booties, with no holes in them so I wouldn't get my feet wet in the cold water  ::)

The level is up and the water is cold. John will attest to that. If you come be prepared! I'll be there at 2:30pm. Question: If you get out of your boat and fall into the water, almost being dragged away by the current and skinning your legs, and almost loosing your boat in the process, :o does that count as a swim, since you were trying to get out of your boat anyway? Ha, ha, ;). Answers can be forwarded to John... :D
