Hi all

I would like to nominate Eric Clement in the category of most improved. Seems to me that he started, as I did, in the summer of 2007. He began the 2008 season with the big boys on the early season runs, and continued doing the more difficult runs throughout the season. Good stuff Eric.

Best swim: I nominate Cl?o Poulin for
--a great seal launch ending by a big whack in the face from the water surface, followed by...
--a short squirt-boating sequence (well, more like sink-boating), then...
--letting go of his warm soup thermos (and kayak, and paddle too) in order to...
--enjoy a pleasant swim in f***ing cold water ABOVE a killer waterfall, and for finally
--contributing to the decoration of the Rouge river with a nice touch of orange (Wavesport orange, to be precise).

Best first descent: I nominate Louis' green Dagger for
--succesfully negotiating the Chaudi?re waterfall, avoiding nasty things like turbines etc., WITHOUT any paddler input,
--making friends with the police (and rescue divers) and getting them to phone home (I wish I had a dog like that!).
--Extra points for enthusiasm: it was so eager to surf the Wall one day that it tried to go through the car's windshield...

This year's Frequent Flier points will be collected again, although not by the same person as last year...

--C.

As you can see the nominations for the 2009 executive followed the norm ...

For those new to the year-end festivities, the club tries to have an "Awards" ceremony to roast or toast other members in the club for whatever ... some categories such as "Most improved", "Most helpful", "Worst shuttle", "Best swim" and so on.

I"ll start the process

Triple Threat Award
Nominee: Bill S.
Reason: For events happening in the Air, on the Road, and in the Water.
