The boat is great. And so light! That's the first thing everyone notices, and boy my shoulders are happier when carrying it rather than the other boats...
On flatwater, the boat seems to have zero initial stability (compared to the Booster), so I was nervous at first. But being so short, the tail doesn't get caught so much in eddy lines, so I found myself becoming confident quickly. It turns out that precisely because of the lack of initial stability, it's very stable in moving water : the bottom of the boat is in fact quite round and I find that I don't get tripped by waves too much. Plus that makes it easy to roll, although it's so light and short that you can pop the bow out of the water with bad rolling technique. It looks (so far) like the requirements for edge control/tilt might be a bit relaxed, but I haven't been in big current yet.
But it is slow... Noticeably slower than Paul's Superstar (which felt HUGE when I tried it), and much slower than my other boats. At BYOB, I had to paddle constantly while on the wave. If I relaxed and just planted a rudder, I would get flushed quickly. I will need practice ferrying in strong curent with this thing.
Overall I'm quite happy with it so far. One drawback is that my magic water bottle doesn't fit in the holder, though.
