I believe it's a Canon. It was in a Root's camera bag and stuffed into a 5 inch tall white screwtop container.

When I've saved enough money to replace it I'll ask my sister exactly what brand her camera was.....

I've been paddling at 5:30 AM lately and they seem to desert the island once the sun rises, like vampires. best to keep away from there when it's dark .  I will be there this thursday at 5:30 AM. guarenteed no line-ups and a nice sunrise ;D.

Welcome to Bate island... or is it M.....bate island? I wished they would pick up their used condoms and latex gloves. And the 'couples coupling' you saw is only the more conventional action you might witness, or being invited to participate in... When you go there to check the water level, make sure you go straight for the fence...

Some of us will be there tomorrow and will keep an eye open for you camera. What brand/model is it?

It was lost somewhere by the picnic tables right by the wall. It was never in the boat when I was in the water. I had it in a waterproof backpack hanging from a fencepost at the upstream end of the wall. I think I must of lost it when I took a break to eat something. I was the guy with the bike and the cart.

I went back to Bate Island when I realized I didn't have it, which was after dark. No luck, I couldn't find it.

And a word to the wise. Unless you are very, very, very open minded don't go to Bate Island after dark. With all the traffic and the people I thought there was something going on when I biked back. Since I ate at the picnic table I wanted to check around the picnic tables all three were "occupied" by couples coupling. What's the etiquette for that? "Don't mind me I'm just looking for something." Not something you want to be saying in a cruising spot.

Thanks for your concern and for asking your friends. I really do appreciate it.

Haven't seen anything of the sort.

Where do you think it was lost?
In the water, by the fence on solid ground? by the cars?

I know Cleo and Chris returned to the surfing when I left. Maybe they saw something.

It was in a white, medical screw top container. It's my sister's and if any of you have an older sister you'll realize the major poo I've stepped in by losing it.
HELP!
