An old star.
I barely fit in that one.
The new one is even shorter...so unless I cut my nails at the ankle...

Last night, Cleo and I went to Sewer wave and the Dessert wave.
Sewer wave was a bit thin with my newer and diminutive All Star.
Sewer was not always foaming, but steep enough to keep us. Would have been perfect for the Centrifuge.
We were at around 3.67 apparently according to the gauge.

And now the level has gone up since then.
So Deschenes might actually be better. Unless you have a lightly loaded or long kayak.

Dessert wave was there and nice, but the foam pile not very wide. Would have been very tight for 2.
(Boy, a long haul to get there and back. Piouuu)

Hi Renny,

I've done this before but from the Quebec side to Ontario and it's a lot of fun. I'm going to Champlain this evening to meet with the CdB gang, then maybe to Sewer Wave, then off to Whispers if it's not too late.

Let yourself drift down from deschenes and meet up with us at Whispers!

I'm thinking about putting in at the Britannia Yacht Club and running the Ontario side so I can see what BYOB is up to. If nothings happening there I'm going to ferry across the bottom of the Deschenes and check out the Deschenes wave.
I've got permission to scout from the yacht club so we can have a peek first. Down one side, across and up to surf.....
Would anyone like to join me? It's fun, a little river running, a long ferry below the mighty Deschenes and then a little surfin'.
No park and play whiners please...Unless you just want to meet me at the Deschenes wave. (Why is it the smaller the boat the bigger the whining about how far it is to paddle to the next wave?) Think of it as peruse, paddle and play....It builds character....
Drop me a line...
