The city regularly stops the flow of water to the pumps-turbines for maintenance. Go to the ottawariverrunners.com and then go to the forum. They usually post these interuptions or contact Roger C, the forum administrator-moderator.

You could also PM Ceilidh. She may know a lot more about it than I.

Hope this helps,

Paul

I was going by there ~ 7 P.M. this evening and the water was mostly shut off. One would of pretty much needed to run it Fred Flintstone style it they were going to get down the drops.

I don't know where one accesses planned/current flows, but that would be a nice thing to find out.

Tx Paul. I may see you in the Masters course then, next week though. I was at the PH yesterday. The level has dropped and the attainments are definitely more work.

The juniors and senior team train everyday from about 2 to 6pm. The masters train from about 6 to 8pm. You can always join the river runners and train with the masters too. Go to ottawariverrunners.com and click onthe quick links to see the actual schedule. I'll be trainning with the masters tomorrow from 6 to 8pm.

Cheers,

Paul ;D

Hey Everyone,

I'm interested in going to the pumphouse too. I think it would be a great place to practise my eddy turns and my ferrying. Let me know if anyone is interested in going, or scheduling a regular meeting day.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Rob,

Sandra, Heidi and I went to check it out last night.  I think we might go there either to just practice or to take some slalom lessons.    Maybe we can coordinate an evening.  Also, Dominique goes there frequently, Monday nights and I'm not sure when else.

Paul, do you and the other Cdbers who slalom who slalom have a "regular" night of the week that you paddle at the pumphouse (similar to Thursdays for Cdb)?  I'm heading there after work today and the plan is to paddle one or two evenings a week.
