Hey, recognized Dominique and Guillaume there...

Well, the only proof of me being on Transformer is my own account...somehow, there are no pictures to prove it. ::)
(Actually Ben was there along with all those hot shots...and I'm sure they all noticed that old fart swimming in the whirlpool next to the eddy after coming out quite nicely out of the wave...)

But for sure, I'll need a few more practice runs on Transformer before I try and pay a visit to my old friend Lucifer...
This reminds me of this delightfully macabre poem from Emile Nelligan: Rondel a ma pipe.

Quite "a propos".

Louis had a good night of sleep and an even better day on the Gatineau.

I managed to squeeze myself in-between a bunch of international hot shots and got a couple of great surfs on it with a couple of 360 and back surfing for good measure, before I sped back down to catch up with the rest of the CdeB mob. Who were just around the corner at it was.

I think I was smiling all the way home from these 2 Transformer surfs...

The wave looks impressive, but it's silk smooth.
I'd say 8ft high and fairly wide radius; might have been able to surf it in the Centrifuge,
but the 'old' All Star was right at home and knew the way apparently.

Once past the boils of the eddy, the All Star was rock solid.
Feels strange to be pointing down and in a froth cake.

Many had the new All Star. Stephen Wright was saying that the new Super Star and Mon Star mold were not ready yet.
The new Super Star might be a better fit for my long legs...
6'6" guy from the US was inquiring about the Mon Star saying he barely fit in the current Super Star.

Jack is off the net tonight and wanted me to post tomorrows agenda.

Breakfast at Tulip Valley 8:00AM - Jack knows the way to Bonnet Rouge so if you don't plan on stopping for breakfast.

Meeting at Bonnet Rouge 10:30AM.

Jack can be reached by phone at 613 601-3920 should you have questions.

Don't forget lunch on the river and a cold beverage for apres river.

Louis, let me know if you still need a ride.  We would have to meet down town as I'm out in Orleans.

Hey Bill and all.

Have fun on the Gatineau. If weather is not too bad, we'll be doing the section Wakefield--Chelsea in sea kayaks at the same time, so we won't be too far downstream. So no peeing in the river!

I'm interested, I have never paddled the Gatineau so that would be my preference, is there any water in the Petite Nation?

Hey Bill

I don't know if you got Heather's e-mail about paddling the Gatineau on Saturday? We were interested. I think Ray too but I can't speak for him.

I'm supposed to paddle Saturday the Gatineau with another group.
It's not confirmed yet. I should find out before 4:00 PM.
If's it's a NOGO, I'll call you and we can decide, probably the Ottawa.

Can't you come on Sunday for the Gatineau run?

CORRECTION: I'm available Saturday
Gatineau, Ottawa, Park and Play at McCoy's...
