Sounds good Graham.  Let's do the Raquette.  Alex is also keen.

Also, the Taureau and Neilson seem to be coming up.  Are you up for it??

The Ottawa sounds good for tomorrow. The Petite could run on a week night after work.
What time do folks want to meet at River Run; early, late?

I really want to paddle the Ottawa to hit Baby Face, and Push button.   I think the current level 1 1/8 is a good level for both spots... almost the same as last weekend.  I haven't paddled for over a month due to traveling and stuff.    Who else wants to do the Ottawa?

Hi all.

The Petite Nation at this level is an easy run. I did it earlier this year (May 6), the level was around 70, see photos. It is now 36, which is considered medium. We'd have to stop and play a lot to make it a whole afternoon paddle, as it is a pretty short run...

It's still a nice run, with a rapid that offers a slalom-like experience.

I'd like to get out on Saturday. Destination is open, Ottawa, Gatineau, Petite Nation, suggestions?
Let me know.

Bill

I'd like to paddle the Petite Nation. I've never paddled it.

There's probably going to be some more options with all this rain in QC, may be doing some driving...  Also, there's the Racquette release a short drive away

Hi all.

Sara and I would be in for Saturday. Last week, meeting at 11 am at River Run worked well but of course we are open to other reasonable times... The level is around 1 at the Owl gauge, so the main channel would be interesting. And the Gatineau is still high, the Transformer is apparently still in, so that could be another option, even if Bonnet Rouge is off limits this weekend. Weather forecast is a mix of sun and clouds, like last Saturday.

Hi Bill,
Bonnet Rouge has that rave this weekend. Mike is up there with Simon and a few others, and is going to see if they know of an alternate take-out. Outside of that, maybe an early run on the Ottawa? We got on the river at 8:30 last Sunday and missed ALL the crowds. It was amazing.

I am trying to work things so that I can also go to the cottage and meet up with my fam, but it's up Gatineau way so Bonnet Rouge being closed is a pain in the butt!!!

Anyhow, long complicated story to say that I want to paddle too, and am trying to work out what makes sense from a logistics perspective with the cottage.

I'll touch base tonight and see what you're thinking!
