Note that I merged this topic with Rouge for Halloween Saturday since it was getting confusing...

Thanks Bill, see you there.
Robert

Westgate at 8:30 works for me.

Bill

Annie, are you and other west enders still meeting at Westgate?
Robert
P.S.
Sorry for not spoting you on time on Island Park-I was deeply in thought.

It seems like the Rouge on Saturday it is.

I'm not so sure what road to take to go there but if I am not mistaken, it is the opposite way of the Ottawa. Is the Westgate mall a good place to meet? Or something more on the Other side? How about 8h30AM?

I will very likely have to come back in town early enough to drive Ms Daisy around.
If we leave at 8h30am, what is the expected ETA and return time?

I'm thinking of going as well...in process of reviewing my apparel. Is anyone else drysuit free? Does drytop (and whatever goes under) , semi-dry pants plus farmer john wetsuit seem reasonable for Rouge this time of the year? In case that's nuts please someone bring me down to earth.

Meet on the East side of the Highway 148 bridge that crosses over the Rouge at 10:00, as some folks want to get back early for trick or treatin.

For carpooling, there is a smaller CEGEP campus called Louis-Reboul located on Boulevard Sacr?-Coeur towards the North end of DT Hull. I believe (not certain but almost) that one can park there on the weekends without any hassels:

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=ottawa,+on&daddr=calumet,+qc&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=45.646688,-74.618111&sspn=0.111845,0.220757&ie=UTF8&ll=45.438288,-75.71492&spn=0.006986,0.013797&z=16
Just to the right of the Scouts Building

I propose leaving from that parking lot there at CEGEP for 8:45, but if anyone wants to chime in with another possible parking lot go for it.

The level has been holding right around 80 CMS which is a medium level.

OK. No drinking allowed for Christian for the remainder of the week.
Got to stay sober long enough to go paddling this Saturday, man.
Like these fellows on the attached picture.
(Some will recognize the usual suspects...)

Good.

Let's figure out a meeting place/time. The river level is 80, which is considered medium. Annie, myself and others ran it in our playboats at about 155 earlier this summer, and that was quite a ride...

Good, this should make for a spooky outing  :o

Yes Annie it is east of Ottawa, and there are a couple of different ways to get there. I prefer to cross over into Hull and then take the #50 and then the #148. Some others, especially anyone out in the east end of town, may prefer to stay on the Ontario side and cross over at Hawkesbury.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=ottawa,+on&daddr=calumet,+qc&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=45.646688,-74.618111&sspn=0.111845,0.220757&ie=UTF8&z=9
Note: Calumet is a couple of km east of take-out.

For carpooling I'm thinking of something a bit more downtownish or even over in Hull, but I don't have a particular spot in mind. Would the pumphouse work?
