Hi folks,

To start off this wonderfully weird spring paddling season, the Rivere Achigan is the pick for Saturday.

It's a class 2 - 3/4 river with some larger drops that can easily be carried around

This one is located in the Laurentians about 2.25 hours from Ottawa.

For info on the river, check out: http://www.myosis.ca/fi_achigan.htm

Here's a Google Maps link to the meeting spot in New Glasgow Qc.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=ottawa+ON&daddr=Chemin+De+l%27Achigan+E&hl=en&geocode=FYYbtQId8_B8-yk14FzUdvzNTDEAFSPHKHsDBQ%3BFatfuwIdS8SY-w&mra=ls&sll=45.833868,-73.874624&sspn=0.005285,0.009645&ie=UTF8&ll=45.834155,-73.874357&spn=0.04228,0.077162&t=h&z=14

Note: Autoroute 50 is open right to Grenville Qc so that you don't have to drive on Hwy 148 towards Lachute

Plan to meet in Hawkesbury at Tim Hortons at 9:30 AM, Google/GPS co-ordinates: 45.610517,-74.604518

If you're interested contact me after 6:00 pm on Friday at (613) 224-8507 to sort out rides etc.
