Good crew that stuck to it and got rewarded...
SandraK, Don, Jim, Bill, Dr Christian, Peter from Amprior and then John our open boat representative.
The start wasn't promising; the Montreal group ahead of us bailed out after about 100m, so did a small group of open boaters from Ottawa.
Low water and lots of ice...Under-cuttting icicle alley...Ice bridge...you name it.
We all agreed to try again at the next bridge....he he he...
Tout vient a point a qui sait attendre, as we wisely say.
A bit bony, but the sun came out and later on at Boston Pizza, the day was rated a success;
(Even though the first and continuous section was sorely missed by a few.)
John and Peter ran the waterfall. Sandra tested the water temperature and Bill had tea with the locals.
We must note that Christian didn't add any scratches to his helmet this time. Bummer?
We surely added a few to our kayaks...
I recall not feeling quite in my element on the Achigan, last year.
Maybe all that sushi I had on Friday...
Most of us (including me) even ran the last ledge/hole after the hairpin turn section.
Wife just got in from the big Bon Jovi show (we're in Montreal)...time to jump into bed...
We should see photos appear here soon...
