When someone posts a trip he or she is trying to organize, he or she is usually trying to get people to that particular river/location at that particular time, which is why he or she posted the trip in the first place right?

If you would like another venue or another time, you could send the organiser a private message... asking for modification or alternate plans, sure, sure!
But if you really want another venue or time, it would only be respectfull to post
your own trip plans and let others join you,
instead of hijack...
, hum... ah..., I mean beffudling an existing thread with alternate suggestions of river destinations, alternate arrival times and alternate departure times...
