It was great indeed. Since everyone was late, we all ended up at the put-in at the same time! Steve had the cool helmet, borrowed from John Mason... The water is cooling down, BTW. Dry tops recommended.
Babyface was good but bumpy, not smooth at all. Pushbutton was very short and steep, good for spins but watch for that nose catching water! But the highlight was definitively Garburator. Easy to catch, quite smooth in fact. Got a couple good surfs (but short--Robert was watching from shore), but there was no one else there so I floated down to Pushbutton.
Apart from the defective backband in my old Booster, there were no mishap. And I had brought insurance: a 4-piece paddle... Too bad I didn't have it a few weeks ago...
