Robert, your paddle lasted you almost exactly one year: you broke the previous one on labour day last year... This year is by far the worst for lost/broken paddles: I had to get my 4-piece paddle out 5 times this season!

Did the paddle break exactly in the middle? I might need to reinforce mi e then...
Yep, you got that right... no the paddle didn't break in the middle and I don't think you can put whole blame on the paddle .  Devyn set me up with a nice video, a good chunk of time worth of cartweels, handrolls and hand surfing trying to fish the paddle out (or what's left of it). The disk is copy protected and want play on a pc so no uTube. Unless Bruce got it on his GoPro...

Yesterday was fun! Ran laps on McCoys and surfed Babyface and Horseshoe!

Alex met horseshoe for the first time 3 weeks ago and swam out of it! He was terrified to drop in there again...I made him paddle in from the bottom and he did great!  ;D

I'll be helping a friend help a friend at the Lorne tomorrow.  If you see me in the beach/cove with two girls, come and say hello.  Especially if you can help me learn how to loop.

Hi Dani,

Dan and I are no longer doing the Gatineau.  Dan needs a break from paddling, or so he told me and I am sick with a cold  :'(

I am CRAVING to run another river this year and tomorrow might be the last option... Still not sure if I can talk my older daughter into babysitting the younger one, but if so, I would LOVE to do the Gatineau. Any car-sharing? I could drive, but would hate to drive all by myself. When are you planning to leave?
