Next week works for me too ... unless there is a Beaver thing I can sneak out for ... also got plans Sat night but whoever needs a place to crash is welcome to hit Camp 2 [max capacity ... ummm depends on how cozy you like it and recommend you bring a mattress and sleeping bag]

... as for this weekend ... LOUIE how 'bout a little cup o Joe on Sunday?

PS: As for the salad, a fried chicken is always a good chicken! ... twas a pleasure!

PS2: As of my Monday am ride ... Hab level is 'excellent' [not excquisite ... but excellent] ... I think Louie was out yesterday and might be able to corroborate ...

OK - I think I finally know who glissboy is...  Just to be sure, do you make the best greek salad w/chicken breast in Lasalle?  ;)

How about next weekend (Sept 24) for a Mtl road trip?  I think that there's at least 3 of us from Ottawa that are interested in doing a Big Joe session soon (Sandra, Wendy, et moi), but I'm suffering from Garb withdrawal symptoms and am leaning towards doing the Main this Saturday.  Sandra will likely also do
the Main on Saturday based on a post today.

Louis - oh master monster waves to Big Joe navigator - what's your schedule like?

I must admit, I'm very tempted for an early AM mission to Habitat.  The gauge seems to be down.  Is the level good?

We got the JoeJam, who's got the peanut butter?

Possible Itinerary:
Saturday : shopping, Shwartzes, the Rouge?, you choose ...
Saturday evening : recommend http://www.skimovie.com/index.php/individual-tour-dates/montreal-qc/ but that is just me ...
... then we can crash at my place [in the hood, kinda close to downtown] or in my folks basement [the burbs but near the lachine rapids] ... nobody is home, maybe we can play spin the bottle ... or, if its all dudes ... ummm does anyone play Poker out there? ... all this just depends on who and when ...
Sunday : Hab67 [for the early risers ... beat the line-up] then ... if/when you tire of that ... Big Joe ... or we just head out to Big Joe and rock it.

Anyway, the bottom line is if anyone wants to go for a drive, check out the famous Big Joe and perhaps even Habitat ... it could all be made to happen ... this Sunday!

options ... too many options ...

PS: Unfortunately I have to work Saturday ... if not I would be happy to 'host' ... I suspect, however, that should there be interest, the 'other Montreal Chapter member' that I know of will step up and provide any necessary guide services if there is an early bird crew that decides to come.

NB: Big Joe is a fairly 'exposed' wave with no 'easy' rescue potential [as in it looks like you really really get pushed far far downstream if things go ugly ... so I've heard ... and knock on wood] - and the line-up getting in is 'high volume pushiness'.  That said ... it is not a 'known' killer [or even maimer - someone correct me if they've heard otherwise] but a pretty darn bombproof roll is 'nearly mandatory' ... of course, lots of you have watched the bottom side of my boat float down many a rapid so ... well ... we just wanted you to know that a rescue [if necessary] would likely mean the end of the day for rescuers/ees ... as there wouldn't necessarily be any easy way back upstream ... ... ... just sayin
