Yes! What a great club! My abdominal muscles are still sore from so much laughing. And thanks to Julia and Paul, my salad bowl is cleaner than ever - you are a wonderful team, thanks a lot for letting us invade your place!!!

Just about to head out to a family reunion and my father birthday celebration, but I wanted to wish everyone a good time this evening at the AGM.

I also wanted to drop a seed.

Last February, I had a great time and kayaking trip in Chile with Sandra and others.
I am thinking about another one this winter.
Low budget - self organized  vs  organized trip with a good provider
Class III+, IV, V-.
Creeks and waterfalls??

Just I shall be there tonight, some baked goods or fruit in hand, our own cooking should not be foisted on the public, especially on club members!

Julie's house is just 4 blocks west from where I had my office on Roosevelt Ave for my first 3 years in Ottawa. Since 2009 it's downtown at 10 Driveway on Rideau Canal at east end of Somerset Street West. I miss the summer quick bike rides down to Westboro Beach for a swim & lie in the sun. Also the shorter drive to Bate Island for a paddle in Graeme's old Big EZ.

Regret I cannot help in CDB committees: frequent travels to clients in Winnipeg & across Canada, and my Rotary Club and South African Rainbow Nation Association treasurer's duties already reduce my kayaking time too much! Many thanks to all of you whose enthusiasm gives the rest of us much pleasure. Merci beaucoup!   ;D

It looks like this year we need nominations for the positions of president, possibly vice-president unless Liz wants to stay on. Also, the position of 'membership' person will likely be up for grabs. If Ian is tired of being web administrator, this might need to be filled as well. I don't mind staying as treasurer, as changing bank credentials is a pain. Other positions include PR person, pool session person (currently myself too), training person, and possibly positions that elude me at the moment. So get those nominations in! Cbeers. --C.
