An excellent trip indeed! Low level ~4, but still, three excellent play-spots, two of which were VERY big.
Cheryl was trying to ferry in the slackwater below Lucifer's to play in Lamb of God. She came within inches of making it, so on her next attempt, she decided she had to be further upstream. She crossed the boil line at Lucifer's, got towed into the hole, and had an epic battle with the hole that lasted about a minute. With skirt pulled, she was launched forward from her boat, and disappeared under water for another 15 seconds, before popping up downstream with a grin on her face.
Logdriver's Waltz had a great wave that rivals Babyface in terms of size and quality, but had no eddy access. It was well worth the short portage.
Bonnet Rouge had a HUGE green wave that could be reattained with considerable effort, and provide a nice big patch to soul-surf.
Considering the weather, the good group we had, and the fact that we had the river to ourselves, I give the trip 10/10.
I'm looking forward to watching Dan's video when I get home from work.
