ARGH!!! La Petite Nation, I love it!
You will have to get down 3 times mate cause I will miss it too.  The ice climbing season starts next weekend so my kayak season definitely ended last Sunday.

Torn between 2 passions, life is full of difficult decisions.  8)

Not to hijack but....
What ice is in this early?  I would like to get back into ice, I have only been out twice since moving here (and two knee surgeries in the past five years has also put a damper on it), but used to get out on ice when ever I could in the rockies.

Back on topic....

Are you thinking of paddling on Saturday or Sunday?  I would like to try to get out at least once more this year, and it looks like it may start to freeze up soon.

Well..we still have warm weather..but the water is cold..Swimming and/or scouting rapids become a bit of a pain with temperatures like this. I though it would be a great end of season run as most of the members on here plan on putting their gear away in the next week or already have. Its a relatively easy Class 3 run with no holes and easy lines. The level right now is 20 cms which makes for plenty of fun. its being steadily going up in the past 7 days so my hopes are the gauge will have reached 25 cms by the weekend.

My plan is to head out there and stay at my parents for the weekend. Ill have my truck so its easy to run shuttle. Either way, I will be there and plan on running it solo of no one shows up.

Im also looking to borrow/rent a boat from someone, hopefully 70+ gallons for the weekend, as paddleshack have nothing above 60 gallons right now.

Please let me know if you are willing to do so.

Thank you,

Here are some photos of the river I have at 35 cms:
