I am interested, if there is still room.  I am not sure of the location, though.  When it's all arranged, would it be possible to provide directions for newbies?

Thank you Mike for putting all this together!  :)

As Kelly and Christian, I am also in.
After this weekends swim..I realized that no matter how much ive progressed in the past year, no matter how comfortable I think I am on the river, there is always room for improvement and technique. Ive been boating lazy the past past 2 weeks and ive paid for it Saturday.

That being said, I could use some tips/technique..but if someone new wants my spot, Ill gladly give it away!

Thanks,

John

Great to hear from you Mike and thank you for organizing. I'm always keen to take a class so please count me in should there be room for advanced group.

In my experience, river-reading and other clinics from Paddler's COOP are very good and can be adapted for any level of student. I would certainly participate, you can always learn something new and practice it. Of course, as Kelly mentions, I will gladly donate my spot if we have a great many people interested in participating!

As usual, I (or any member of the executive) will be able to accept cash or cheque payments during that weekend, or before. We often meet at Whispers on Thursday!

Finally, unless weather is absolutely crap, I will head for Jessup's campground (where we camp) Friday afternoon, and camp two nights! I hope I won't be alone there...

Kelly - Glad to have you on board!

Good question - need to iron out those details.  I suppose we could pay thru the club since CdB
will be subsidizing.  Or just bring cash to the event or to Whispers on a Thursday sometime in May.   Comments/suggestions from the CdB financial director?   ;-)

At this point what I really need to know is how many participants so that I can organize and finalize details with the Co-op.

Spots going fast...   ;-)

Thanks Mike for all the work setting this up. I'd like to lead the way by saying I'm in. I am pretty 'needy' in the skills department. That said, if someone who is more 'needy' than me wants in at the eleventh hour and we are fully booked, I will give up my spot. BTW how do we pay?

Thanks

The club has managed to negotiate an *excellent* deal for a half day
skills clinic held by the Paddler's Co-op on Saturday, May 26th.
Cost per paddler will be only $25!  It is anticipated that the clinic will start
at around 1pm, but let me know what time is preferred.

Instruction will be available for all skill levels - depending on the number
of interested participants, students may be split into 2 groups by skill level.

Since the club is offering a generous 50% subsidy for this clinic, we will need
to limit the number of participants to 20, so please let me know ASAP by either
replying to this post or by contacting me (coordinates below) if you are interested
in participating. (NB. A few members of the executive will likely be taking
advantage of this deal, so in fact there will be less than 20 spots available...)
