Man, don't rub it in, I'm so bummed, but I promised friends sometime ago that I'd help them move that weekend. I did have a good weekend, but wish I could have come!
On a semi related note, I'm trying to get people to come to the Malbaie on the weekend of 18 Aug. I emailed Jacques and Bast, interested?? I hear theres a 30'er :D

Jeremy, Jeremy... This is what you missed last weekend: Jacques-Cartier Tewkesbury section, once at low level and another time at significantly higher level, the Tourilli at low water and the Nielson at a level suitable for a 'relaxed' first time (so they say)... That I would call epic. I hope your long weekend here made up for what you missed! Cheers... --C.

Bast, most people do all 3 sections in the same day, lots of time, all are in your skill level, except maybe moshier falls. Scout that!
See you there

Moshier section is fun, even if you don't run the falls
In my opinion

Beaver Fest is the only time to run the Moshier Falls section, and it gets very crowdy... The 2 other weekends offer releases as well.

Taylorville releases: September 3, 5, 10, 24, 25

Eagle releases: September 4, 5, 10, 24, 25

Moshier release: September 4.

I'd go more than once if possible! --C.

I know its still 2 months away, but who is going, or thinking about going??
There are 3 sections, all release on this weekend only! Great river, links below! Most people paddle it in a creeker, thats definatly my call!
Taylorsville (The easiest section)
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2612/
Moshier  (A little harder, but not too bad. There is one section of the Moshier section, The Moshier Falls section, some people walk (myself included lol) but the rest is great fun)
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2613/
Eagle (Very creeky, looks fun, kicking myself for not running it! Very pool drop)
http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2612/

Think about it, its a great fest!
