Daniel jumps the drop right before the last waterfall (section 7 soeurs):

J'ai un peu mal au dos,  peut-?tre trop vieux pour ce genre de saut......

Nah... C'est seulement la technique, pour entrer dans l'eau plut?t que de tomber ? plat dessus... il faut pratiquer! --C.

I would not call the Quebec Whitewater ratings accurate by today's standards. Most of them are based on old ratings when most people were running rivers in open boats.
Here's a better write up on the sisters: http://www.liquidlore.com/quebec/rouge-7-sisters

According to Qu?bec Whitewater (http://quebecwhitewater.com/fr/info-debit?task=view&id=19)  if The water level for running waterfalls its between 25 to 30m3s its waterfalls class 5.2

Description

10 ? 15 m3 = IV+

15 ? 20 m3 = 5.0

20 ? 25 m3 = 5.1

25 ? 30 m3 = 5.2

30 m3 et plus = portage or bad swim

I will probably come early on Saturday morning. Do you have a preferred spot at the camping?

I think it's first-come, first-serve. And since the level is low (i.e. easy run), there may be more people than last year, where the level was 85 m3/s, more than 3 X now... One of the reasons I would arrive Friday. But since it's only 1 hour away, Saturday morning is ok I suppose...

The level is stable between 25 and 26 m3/s. If I recall properly, the 1st fall (and possibly 2nd) as well as the last one are safe at this level, the other ones are still dangerous. I will go anyway, bringing two boats, and see how it goes. The last fall is certainly runnable at this level, since Todd ran it in his playboat last time, at much higher level. Plus there's a boof that can be done at the washing machine, and I need to practice that...

Anyone wants to go up Friday afternoon/after work and do a quick run? No need to scout anything at this level, so a run can take as little as 1 hour. --C.

To me its a class IV+.

The lines are fairly large, safety can be easily set up except on Sister 4 and the pools are fairly big in between drops. And Ive seen the falls get run up to 60 cms... Over 40, these become a good class V except for Sister 7. At this level, with a good crew, Id give them a shot.

Yup, looks tempting. Does anybody from Gatineau want to carpool? Cindy? Daniel?
Would prefer to leave on Saturday morning.
