One things sure.. deschenes was in Sunday!

Were you there? I didn't see you.

Yes it was.

Not a very good wave, but better than nothing.

I was a little confused myself christian, as when I went there the level was at a level I had surfed before, and there was nothing.

Well guys...

I drove up to Bate Island tonight at 18:00, braving the nocturnal local fauna with a flashlight in my hand.

There is a strong correlation with the water level upstream, at Britannia, and the waves at Bate Island. But somehow these waves seem to depend on the level downstream, as determined by the various dams at Chaudi?re falls.

I turns out that even though the level is almost 59 m on the upstream gauge, there is unfortunately not much to surf at Bate island right now.

The trend is fortunately upwards, so let's hope that it gets better! A part of the Rauch family will be our scouts tomorrow morning, so we should know for sure!

It's almost at 59 now! The eddy is definitely in--maybe we should go BEFORE the weekend, in case it does not last that long! The water is still reasonably warm. --C.

Ran the middle yesterday.  At 17 things begin to flush out.
Phil's is all but gone.
Sattler's is an angry wave.
LNN is just two large overlapping holes.

The Beachburg sections was at 17 today, and still on its way up.
I've heard that it takes 2-3 days for that water to reach Ottawa.
If that's the case, I think Jon is right.  We may have Champlain for a few days at least!

Ryan,

Were you on the river?  Middle or Main?
