I surfed the Remic wave last Thursday. The wave itself is stellar: smooth, glassy and very friendly... if you can catch it that is. And the water level is too high to walk back up in the middle of the river, you need to land on the Quebec side every time to get back up.
The Remic rapids are small and beginner-friendly, but I would say reliable rolling is required: While it would be completely safe (there are islands below), a swim there could be very long and involve a very long walk back...
I'd be up for a few circuits tomorrow, it's worth it when you're on the wave!
