...in a fast long boat perhaps, but short playboats would have a hard time staying on the wave...

There must be something at Champlain still, maybe?

It has come and gone from what I heard.

We were on it on tuesday and it was dropping.

Steve checked it out this morning and its apparently gone.

Gone really depends on what you mean. Not big, no foam pile, not good for air tricks, shallow. It's there and small but very surfable if front surfing and carving is your thing, even spins.

I'm going to check it out later today. I'll let you know but I would think that it would still be in for front surfing and carving.

Tomorrow July 4th I will bring a sea kayak to Champlain bridge Bate Island. I want to try the 1st wave! There is still stuff to surf, and liquids to drink at Whispers. Some will be at the pub around 7 pm, but a more realistic time is after 8:00 pm. Everyone welcome! --C.

Sadly, the water levels are dropping. Today, no real recirculating eddy, and the wave was almost non-existent. But what a spring this year! The wave was surfable from mid-March to mid-June! Essentiall 12 weeks of Champlain bridge surfing in 2013! Not seen since 2008. We should be able to surf Sewer Wave until August!

--C.

August eh? I might yet surf again in downtown Ottawa this year:)

Sweet; and the weather forecasts have now both dropped the "possibility of a thunderstorm Thursday evening".

Let me know what time, Christian!
