Hi
I ran it last year on Mar 24 at a rapidly falling level of around 3.6. Today it's at almost the same level so hopefully my description is accurate, but as always be cautious. It was my first time running it, so others may have better info.
Assuming the usual Brightside to Wolf Grove route, there was very little of consequence with any of the rapids EXCEPT for I believe Anderson's Rapids, the one just before Cedardale/Bow Lake Rd. You may want to scout that one.
Here's a map reference. Find the Clyde entry and if you get the right scaling you will see the rapid names:
https://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&om=1&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=110617255026872416914.000439043aa57303323fbNotice the bend in the river just before Anderson's rapids, then it goes narrow and straight. Take out on the river left shore at the bend and walk a bit to the rapid drop if you are unsure. The easiest line is the clean "V" about 3 boat lengths from the left shore. There may be a route on river right, but you probably don't want to deal with the ledge in the centre. It's not a difficult rapid, nor particularly swift so you could boat scout it if you control your descent, it's just that the first time down it's nice to know what's there. Also, there was a large downed tree sticking straight out from river left maybe 30m downstream of the rapids. I think it was still rooted so it may still be there, watch out for it at least.
All that said, I'm not 100++% positive it was Anderson's rapids, but the location just before Cedardale seems to be strongest in my memory. Hopefully someone can confirm that's the one with the river centre ledge, but I did want to warn at least that it should be scouted.
Be prepared for a long flatwater paddle if you continue on to Wolf Grove, but it is pleasant and the last rapid before the takeout can be fun, surging semisurfs and plenty of eddyline stern squirting would be in store.
Cheers,
John
