Camping... Unless it's full, left and up the trail from the parking lot that is across from the house/barn. It's in the trees, so there is plenty of shade. There is often a bonfire at the end of that section.

I am going for sure on Friday, maybe paddle Friday night if shuttle is possible, paddle Saturday too, and leave Sunday going east. --C.
Great! I will leave Friday after work and will get there around 6 or later depending on trafic. Which area will you camp?

The level is dropping, by about 10 m^3/s/day. It's now 120, should be around 100 on Saturday. Which boat should I bring?

I'm in for the Jamboree as long as everyone else is still going. Dani? Christian?  As it is now, my plan is to leave Friday later in the afternoon and camp untill Sunday. After the event on Sunday, I won't be going straight back to town.

Oh, and by the way--a friend has a Bliss-Stick Huka creek boat, and may be convinced to sell it since it is clearly too small for him. It has about 67 gallons in volume, so is well suited to a very small male, or a regular female paddler:

The boat has generally good review. If interested, let me know!

I so much loved Martin's Dagger Nomad with the build-in stay-upright warranty that I think this will be my boat, but thanks for suggesting the Huka!
Dani

The two boats are very similar.

I keep checking the gauge and should the downward trend continue I will go. I will reasonably know by Thursday, after the rain. If I decide to go, I will go Friday.

Hi all.

I have run the river above this level in a playboat and survived quite well (although some others in the group barely did). If it stays well above 100 m^3/s during the coming weekend, I will bring my creek boat and would suggest others do so as well. Last Thursday, three of us we ran it at 110 m^3/s and the river wasn't more difficult than we know it, just different--of course I was happy to be in my big boat. I would say it is easier than the big rapids on the Kipawa.

My plans are to go up Friday, camp there and run the river 2-3 times Saturday (the shuttle runs all day), then camp again. Unfortunately, I can not run the river on Sunday as I have to press on to Montreal and beyond...

There is no need to register before the event, just show up with your money and your gear! The party on Saturday is great, and you will make new friends!

Hoping to see you all there,

--Christian

I would like to join you if the river won't be more suicidal than the Kipawa...

Thanks for original posting Christian and Dave for refreshing. If the river calms down, I would be intrested. I understand, it's too late to sign up for the package with the supper. Is there any other registration deadline?
