hey Larry

I have to be somewhere at 7pmish on Saturday night. Is it possible to get back before then. If so, that sounds good.

I am interested in a day paddle.  10:30 at Bonnet Rouge sounds fine.  (If I remember it is about a 1.5 hr drive from downtown Ottawa?)

Hi

You would do fine on this river whether in your boat or swimming beside it.
I wouldn't recommend swimming below the Bec de Corbeau ... sort of like Lower No Name at low water levels with the rocky runout.

Bonnet Rouge surf wave should be in.

Larry

I would like to join you!
Two questions:
1. How is the level? I think I've only paddled the Gatineau at relatively low levels.
2. Are Y chromosome carriers excluded?

The gauge was at 6.5 yesterday: it's an easy level (last years festival had kinda the same levels)

the gatineau is a friendly river to swim... I know someone who did swim the whole river on purpose.
it is possible to scout every rapid and to walk it. or walk it back to run the rapid again.
there are pools after every rapid.

of course, all man are invited. so are hermaphrodites, transgender or else.

everyone is welcome in the paddling familly!

Don't forget that this week end is the 7 sisters event on the Gatineau!

the 7 sisters is a group of women paddlers that promote and encourage woman to paddle whitewater.

come join on for a really fun week-end. this year will be the 8th anniversary!

bring food to share in the pot luck and camp with us at the Bonnet rouge.

kayaks, open boats, C1, rafts: we like everyone!

and... there will be a white zephyr at auction!
