Cool! I was looking forward to this run, but getting my car back from the put-in on the Ottawa, I heard a nasty noise... Looks like a power steering hose came loose and I lost all fluid. I didn't want to drive my car too much without power steering. Already I might have ruined tyhe pump as it ran dry for 130 km, but hey, should replace it anyway... Got a great workout paddling, then another one trying to steer the car...

why don't do stop by our place? We can carpool from here. If you come in time I even have a coffee for you. So far we are only three. The van holds 6 people with gear.

The level is below 40, which I consider the upper limit of 'low'--some people run all big drops at this level. If you are going to try this river, now would be the right time. But make sure your braces are good, and that you can roll in whitewater. There is nothing bigger than what you find on the Gatineau. But the difference is that at least one rapid is a continuous 500 m of Class III. Swimming there is not fun, for the swimmer and for the rescuers. But that said, everything is walkable.
