Hi
Rapids are not skinny, they have flowing water over some rocks.
It's a creek boat run.
I only ran it twice in my history of boating ,,, once in 2009 and the other time in my Dancer (if anybody remembers that era)
In 2009 Bill was there, so tap into his memory bank. Jim was there as well but his memory cells are non-existent.
The trick is to put on River Right below the dam which involves descending down the steep embankment. In 2009 we put in above the dam, but the portage route on River left made you miss most of the canyon because there was no way of getting back to the river.
On river right below the dam, you will have 3 strokes for warm-up before heading into a Class III gravy train. After that it's all a blur in my memory.
The map in the link sort of gives you a rough idea but fails to add the blub from Fortin's guidebook about the left channel... Of course if folks want to take a look at the X we can do that too ...
In 2009 that was before the extension of Hwy 50 and the improvements to Hwy 323 were completed.

Never done it. What's the skinny on the rapids? I am torn between this and a high water run down the Gat. Can only paddle Sat. As of right now.
