Nice pics, looks very similar to the level we ran it at mid-June last year.

We ran the Upper Mississippi on Saturday June 7th
we put-in at the end of Morrow road. the camping guy charged 6$/car for parking.  there is a Y intersection on Marrow... take the left branch, pass the gate, pass the "Private, Do not enter" signs and continue for a few kilometers to get to the camping.
level was 40 cms gauge 02KF001; 18 cms gauge 02KF019 and decreasing. probably on the low side, but fun anyways. long flat at the begining and at the end, with not so many rapids in between, but it still felt like a satisfying day since we got out the boats to scout most of the rapids.... it is also easy to portage and re-run most of them
we ran everything except the two large falls (I forgot to take a picture of the second one).  I tried to take pictures of most of the rapids, but there are a few II-II+ missing. Pictures here:

and that's the picture of the second waterfall we did not ran. http://www.panoramio.com/photo/66966128. on Saturday, water level was a little higher than on that picture.
after the first fall, we ran the right side channel.  there is a tree at the top of it, but it is very easy to avoid on the left side.  the left side channel looked very bony and there were two trees completely blocking it.  It is probably easy to dislodge one of them, but we didn't try as this channel was not interesting.

Just an FYI. A while back we ran out of space in our server for photos/files, etc. I had no choice at the time but to delete such files past a certain date. Sorry about that. We are now on a new server where we should no longer have this problem.

is the thread ...

the forum was moved to a new server so photos posted were most likely lost ...
but the photos that are a function of google maps are still there.

Thanks Larry,
the information that I can read in the previous threads is more or less what I said in my post. unfortunately, maps and pictures don't seem to be available anymore; I get an error message when I try to open them. so... flat and falls?
as far as the level is concerned, I've read that the Fergusson fall gauge was the best.  but I also saw something about the Dalhousie Lake outlet gauge, and finally, I've read that there were no gauge at all for this section.  hence, I am still wondering if we can trust any of the gauges, if the level is good, etc?

we have run it around the current level of 50 cms ... (Fergusson falls gauge)

if you did a search on the forum ... there are different threads with information that would be helpful
Top right corner of the forum with the word "search"

Upper Mississippi?

Hey!
I've heard about the upper Mississippi river before, but I am looking for more info on that run...
could somebody give me a little description of the river?  I just know that there are two big flats, a few waterfalls and nice rapids in between...
I believe this is the put-in/take-out, but could somebody confirm?
http://goo.gl/maps/KnzM4
and finally (and probably most importantly!), what would be the recommended water levels?  I think the 02KF001 gauge (Mississippi at Fergusson Falls) is the closest one, is that right?
thanks a lot!
