Well, you know... The poor girl had to roll near the rocks. Let's say you were close to her in order to encourage her!

By the way, our runs of the Gatineau were nice and relaxed--not like the famous attempt Saturday to run the Rouge Canyon, which turned into a banged knee, a major hike and an opportunity for a rescue course recent graduate to practice boat recovery skills...

These two runs of the Gatineau were likely the most relaxing ones I've done, thanks to a great crew: 11 on the first day, 7 on the second. A good level, all rapids looking intimidating but ultimately friendly. Lucifer was as usual--many ran it twice--I think Lariza can blame Liz for a certain mishap... Jim, surfing the top of Lucifer: Jacques tried to follow suit, and got close to the nether regions of Mr. Lucifer... Haute Tension: again the girls showed how to do it. Oh, and someone now knows how to deal with an imploded skirt just above Le Mur... Gotta nail that ferry! And it was high enough to do le Seuil des Cèdres right slot--for a few, it was a first time: aim for the bump and ride the rest as it comes!

I agree! Next time I'll be sure to remember when people camp overnight, they like to leave earlier than 11:00 to paddle :)

Even though I didn't end up paddling with you guys, I ended up going down with two other people who i got to know over the course of the river, and it being my first time on the river, I can't believe I waited that long to do it! It's a gorgeous river with some great rapids!

I look forward to paddling it again some time!
