Oh ok. I saw that post, and I was looking on a map for some of the places around Quyon that looked like waterfalls, so if it's right off the 148 I'm sure I could find it.

I will make sure I talk to the owner if he is there... It sounds like he's pretty nice to let us on their, and like you said, it would be a shame to lose that because someone didn't respect his property.

Thanks!
Jordan

I have always loved spending an afternoon at quyon falls.

Firstly: Where is Quyon falls? is there an address/parking lot nearby that works to park at?

Jordan

Hmm... I posted that link to it for sale. Other than that I have always just said its on the side of the 148, in quyon. Its hard to mistake, as the highway crosses over the falls.

Its private property, so be extremely respectful please, it would suck to lose access to this place. I always say hi to the owner if he is around.

What Christian really means to say, is that there are pretty good links to river information on the CdB website,
which can be found here ...

Secondly: Aaah... Thanks Larry. I was equally wondering about peoples personal play-spots that they've found over the years... But I'll dig through the websites and see what popular play spots I can scope out and what other info I can find. Thanks!

For those who have paddled in the ottawa area for a couple years now, are there any rapids or waves within about 30 minutes of driving distance that are good at this level/this time of year? If so, where might they be found?

Obviously Champlain is too shallow near the island to do any serious playing or running, and to get to the deeper middle channel requires a fair bit of work for a relatively simple series of standing waves... Are there any other rapids that stand out as being fun to run or fun to play at? (Even if not necessarily challenging or big water?)
