Well it does take a team of people to make this event happen whether it was getting the boats secured to the trailer, playing mother duck, buying food, hauling up the stuff, getting the tables set up, potato prepping, husking corn, cooking the food, being "Vanna White", campfire songs and site cleanup at the end.
by the numbers:
15 lbs of bacon capped roast beef --- slowly spit-roasted over coals
36 Farmboy sausages -- actually 72 since they were cut in half based on a last year's comment
50 potatoes
6 dozen corn
fish --- if you paced yourself through the eating frenzy it was great, or the following morning with cream cheese and bagels
myriad of salads, dessert and fruit
a mound of firewood to burn
a lot of beer and other beverages
few with the morning after the night before feeling
and the most of important, plenty of happy people.
Thanks to all for making the event a success.
