Ecuador – trip report
I’m just back from a 3 weeks trip in Ecuador including a full week kayaking with Jim Forbes and our guide Abraham Herrera (
www.boofsessions.com). A all include trip for 960US (food, transportation, hostel and kayak included)
I realy like to paddle with Jim and that guide and feel safe with the selected rivers and level that he choose for us. He know the river, the acces and could estimate the level after a rain…..
Depending of your skill and your taste for adventure, you could do it different way. Just go and meet local or others paddlers from Canada and USA or have a guide. There is so many paddlers there, that most of the Taxi are small 4 doors truck.
In Baeza: You could just go at Gina's Hostel and Restaurant and meet paddlers from Canada our USA. There is around 4 hostel, we stayed at Rodrigo's Hostel
In Tena: The Welcome break Hostel is the meeting spot but have been told not to sleep there
You will find a lot of information in the Guide produced by the Small World Adventure cie or on the internet site of our river guide
