It was more fun than I expected, small 6-person raft. Completely different experience from kayaking the same rapids! You float over a lot of things, but when you hit a big thing, you hit it hard!

All the cash I had collected from people paying for pool sessions for instance amounted to 150$, so for the record, the club paid for the raft with this cash. So now I have no more 'float' money... --C.

OK team, hope you're in shape!
The schedule is as follows:
13:30 - team briefing with raft guide
14:30 - 1st run
15:30 - 2nd run
I will be at the registration booth by 13:15 to wait for everybody. The rest of CdB racing, safety and spectators, I would like it if you were around in case we have someone bailing and we need replacement paddlers.

Woohoo!!! HOHW!

Hey!

I am happy you guys have a full raft. If for some reason, some people cannot make it, I could be a spare. The problem with me is that I am always ending up doing safety so depending on the race time, I may not be available.

See you all there,
Annie

No, we just need a six person team. The raft is reserved.

Do we need to sign up individually on hohw website 'registration'? Or is that already done by registering the raft team? Thanks!- Christine

not really ... the raft race is a bit more organized than the kayak races ... but let us hear from Jacques wrt the start time and other details his crew needs to know. The raft race is now sold out.

they made some changes this year --- offering Yoga and SUP demos/races at Catwalk. The apres-race ceremony is back at the Jubliee lodge

BTW: the raft is paid by the CdB.

It would be as other years: start times are decided the day of...

Did they give you a start time?

How y'all doin? Ready for HOHW? (I'm not  :-\)

This year, I registered a raft for HOHW, May 9, 2015. I named it: Swim Forest Swim. I need 6 paddlers. Who's in?
First committed, first in!
But if we have more than 6 paddlers interested, we could register a 2nd boat...

Both raft and kayak.
