Back in 2012 I scouted and ran a couple of short sections of the Petite that are well above the normal run by river miles but that are not that far of a drive away. One or both of these sections could be combined with an outing at the upper canyon. When I ran these in 2012 the water was fairly low and I would like to get back there and check things out at higher levels. These are both fairly short sections of river with relatively easy shuttles.
I've posted a couple of entries along with some video (no gnarly stuff was run) at the pages below if interested. On both runs there were two drops that I portaged, and I would likely portage 3 of those again even if I had a good crew with me. So there is some big stuff to contemplate for those with stronger vertabrae than I have. Both sections are named after the nearby towns.
Ripon Section: I ran it at 15.5 CMS according to this gauge (
