Pretty quiet on the Sunday trip. Nobody at the Garb by the time we got there.
Not sure where everybody is, but as it gets closer to the World's that will change.

Isn't it fun getting your first blunt???

WT takeout has turned more into campground then a takeout.

Trip report: a great day was had by all. Some people REALLY liked starting late. I have to admit, it was kind of nice. Very little traffic at that time of day. At one point, we were TWO on Garb... seriously... how often does that happen on a Saturday. Garb was amazing! I got my first blunt on it!

Jordan brought a newbie friend, he had lots of swims but was quite good considering it was his first time. He did quite well.

Luke and I met up with Simon and Élizabeth at the brewery afterwords for post paddling food and drinks. The service was pretty darn slow (it was super busy) but the food was fantastic.

And for anyone who hasn't been at the public takeout for the past month... wow! It's changed considerably!

Yes, that makes sense.

Make sure to drop people and gear off at the put in first and I'll be at the takeout for 2:20 to pick you up Jordan. We'll leave your car there and get back to the put in.

I'll arrange pickup of Sarah separately with her. So we'll be three.

Dani, Caleb (my friend), and I will all carpool up. My error. Can we meet at the take-out to shuttle up? I should probably drop off gear/people at the put-in and then drive back? (Since we have 6 people and only 2 cars)?

Yes on the 2:30 at the put in. I'll pick up Luke at his place around 12:50.

Sarah, if you want to come, you can definitely grab a ride with us. What's your address? Then I can tell you how we can meet up.

I would love to go but I also have no ride so if it is possible to get a ride with someone then I'd be interested!

Can we plan on being on the water for 2:30? Luc, if we arrange a spot for you on the shuttle afterwards, could you meet us straight at the put-in around 2:30? For the rest of us, that would mean meeting at the put-in at 1:45 to rearrange boats, cars, shuttle plans, etc... Does that work for people?

All of this is somewhat weather dependant for me... The rain is ok, but there's also a chance of thunderstorms, which I would rather not paddle in.

Hopefully, I'll see you all tomorrow!

Hey, I'm actually looking to paddle Saturday as well BUT have my niece's b-day party to go to in the morning. Which means I can't leave Ottawa until 1PM. If you guys are willing to wait that long, I'm more than willing to give a ride to Luke.

If that works with all of you, let me know. Otherwise I'll probably go do some park & play at Push Button if this doesn't work out.
