As expected with our late start and the help of a close by thunderstorm, we almost had the river to ourselves, save Moby Dick.   With little or no waiting in eddies,  we tired ourselves out more quickly than forecast and took off the river about an hour before dusk.

Liam Peyton and I are paddling the Ottawa River main channel Saturday afternoon, July 25.
The river level is likely to be around - 3/4 or less.
We'll be off the river at dusk.   I plan to leave my place,
    297 Lanark Ave,
NE of corner Churchill at Scott,
NW of corner of Island Park and Scott,
    SW of the Champlain bridge,
 ..... at 1 pm .

If you usually have a roll, and are interested in joining us, RSVP.  We could do a minor diversion such as to  Eagleson Park and Ride at 1:20 pm.  If it is after Friday at 8 pm, please also telephone me at 613 759-8348, but not between midnight and 10 am.
