hi Daniel,

Mackfest was chilly, especially camping in -10.

Daniel, Marc, Francois,

It was great paddling with you. I hope you enjoyed the Nolichucky on the way home. I ended up going west to Nashville. Happy wife, happy life.

Daniel I still owe you a six pack. If you are at Mackfest, I will deliver.

Seamus
Yes it was fun, the South Sauty creek in Alabama was quite a discover. 25C and Sunny tuesday on the Nolichucky river and its look to cold this weekend for the mackfest.

Missed you this morning, got held up early this morning by a transport fire on I40 for a couple hours. I did get out on Tellico.

I am in 214. I will look for you guys tomorrow.

Seamus
we also went on the Tellico but very early and did 2 section. The flowrate was half of last year, quite technical run between the rock :)  see you at the breakfast

I have not seen playboats on most of these rivers, and I would advise against it.

I think the only river on which I have seen a playboat during ALF is the Occoee, and it is not a creek... 99% of what we run during ALF are creeks.

hi Daniel,

How difficult are the rivers? Class 3? 4? 5?
Can they be run in playboat?

thanks,
Seamus
mostly III-Iv
last year we did :
Little, Bridge at Elkmont to Sinks( classIII) Length   7 Miles
Clear Creek,Lilly to Nemo, II-IV Length   7.5 Miles
Upper Tellico (the Ledges section)  III_IV, 2 miles,  thats where the ALFest Sunday 'race' is

Most rivers in that area are of the shallow variety. I would not recommend running them in a playboat. On top of cars you will see creeking canoes and kayaks. Difficulty varies, it mostly depends on what rivers your paddling buddies want to run.
