I will be bailing on this. Too cold and too high for my tastes.

Might go to champlain instead.

Ok. Lots stronger than what we did last year. Thanks for the update. :)
Chris, if someone can lend me a creek boat, I would go.  But I feel that my 4Fun would be thrown around a lot in there.

PS, Its the highest its been in a decade...no joke.. the water was about 3 feet from the bridge at the take out...  Last week, the rock in the canyon was completely under water and there was a hole there where the rock sits...Some good boaters swam.... No wood to worry about AFAIK but its no class 2-3 as usual. Shes big, burly, pushy and cold! Picture the Rouge Canyon at high water but in a smaller narrower river :D

Charge right entering the canyon after the lead in. ;) With the snow/rain... she might get even bigger!

Be safe and have fun! I might be in actually if I can find a boat!

PICS:

To give you a perspective...That rock is now underwater... Gauge says 129cms but in the spring you normally multiply by 1.5 as the gauge is upstream at lac simon almost... There are multiple creeks dropping into the river to add flow to.. (some don't believe it but whatever..) having had a farm on this river for the past 10 years, I can tell you that the water at the bridge has bever been this high before! :D

50 cms vs 120 cms

120 cms left side of rock

Lead in rapid to the canyon @ 120 cms

Hey
Does anyone feel like paddling the Petite Nation this Sunday?
I have room in my car and room for boats on the roof. I ran it last year and now I think the level is great.
I'd leave from Ottawa downtown around 10am-ish
